Dr. Krissi Hewitt joined the team in 2014 and is currently serving as Regional Education Partnership Policy Advisor, directing the agency’s statewide cross-sector education partnership initiatives (STEM Hubs and Regional Achievement Collaboratives). She also assists the Chief Education Officer with cross-agency and legislative coordination, and policy analysis. Krissi has over 10 years of experience in STEM education transformation and research with a specialization in postsecondary education. She has worked for the past two years to strengthen regional partnerships to empower communities to impact education at the local-level and to influence policy at the state-level. Krissi earned her PhD in Science Education from Oregon State University, MS in Microbiology from San Diego State University, and her BS in Biology from the University of California, San Diego.
